Origami Holiday Ornaments Workshop

Learn a new craft while adding homemade flair to your holiday decorating! Local high school student Susan Goetz will teach simple but impressive paper-folding techniques that you can do to fill your home with origami ornaments for any occasion. War of 1812 Bicentennial Event w/Joe Ryan

The map of NYS would have been redrawn had the “final invasion” been successful. Based on the award-winning book, The Final Invasion: The Battle of Plattsburgh by Colonel David Fitz-Enz, with a special viewing of the short film based on the book, local resident Joe Ryan, in full 1812 military dress, will bring to life a key battle of the War of 1812. Not for the faint of heart or the squeamish, but for those who have a passion for a good story…which is good history. For adults and teens grade 6 and up. Registration begins November 1.
